Ok, this is all kind of messed up.

I dropped 3 frames on the bird scene (23.976 video) when I had my display set to 60hz.
I dropped 34 frames with the same scene with the display set to 23.97
    (with the ! display open)

Something sounds fundamentally broken with this. The graph was also much crazier @ 23.97hz

    GPU: Nvidia GT220

    OS version: Windows 7 x32

Not that much difference between the different DLLs. 2nd DLL seems to provide a bit less variance in the video graphs.

Any chance people could include codecs in their posts? With my setup I noticed a slight improvement when using the Cyberlink PDVD9 video codec compared to the MS DTV-DVD video codec...

So i'm sorry but i've to vote for variant 3 - but 4 worked also very good. I'm really interested in which patch is behind which dll.

On version 3 red and green line also stay really smooth in the middle without any jumping. Yellow is jumping - not shure if it should or not (for SD).

On version 4 all lines stay calm (for SD AND HD).

So perhaps version 4 is even better for me but i get mich more log entries in evr.log than with version 3.

Not voting as I know which DLL does what 'cause I compiled them.

    Hardware/Software:
    • OS: Win7 x64
    • CPU: E8400 @ 3.0GHz, passive cooling
    • GPU: Nvidia 9300 onboard /w driver 195.81 Beta (too lazy to update)
    • Memory: 4GB
    • Haali Splitter: high priority, increased buffer size, disabled search for linked files
    • MP: latest public SVN, process priority set to high, using refresh rate changer for 1:1 fps/Hz (except for 25p that uses 50Hz)
    • Plugins: only Moving Pictures and TV Series
    • Skin: StreamedMP /w weather and RSS disabled
    • Codecs: MPC for h264, ffdshow for SD, Nvidia Decoder for MPEG2, audio uses ffdshow (DTS, DD passthru)
    • TV: not using MP for watching TV
    • Connection: HDMI to DVDO Edge to Onkyo receiver to Samsung TV

I consider my system a lower mid-range system because I used an ITX board with everything onboard and have no free slots for a faster GPU. I really like to have one of the new ATIs with HD audio passthru so I don't have to use multi channel FLACs for remuxed BRs.

Test result: basically all the DLLs perform the same on my system including the SVN version in regards to playback quality.

Nearly flat lines for SD, little jitter on HD (only drifting yellow line at 23.976 because Nvidia doesn't hold it correctly). Now and then a frame or two get dropped beside the first few when the DirectShow graph starts or the ones when using skipping steps. Mostly they are dropped due to external influences (maybe 1 or 2 per hour, on some material a few more).

The few HD TS samples I have show a few more dropped frames when de-interlacing to 50p @ 1080 lines. But still no really jumping graphs in the stats renderer or a lot of dropped frames. VLC and MPC-HC show roughly the same amount of dropped frames here.

Testsystem Intel Core I3-530 Intel HD (1920x1080) resolution multiseat without any recordings. (SVN 25000)
VGA Driver Version 8.15.10.2040, Windows 7 32bit, Cyberlink Video Decoder (PDVD9) SAF Pack

I have test this version on an ion and on an gigabyte nvidia 9400 board to. Same results.
I agree that version 2 and 3 are the best.(for me)
Nvidia Driver release ive tested with. (190.38 and 196.21)

 But what i am found out is, that is not possible to look "servus tv HD" on Astra. (Too many drops with all version and on all of my systems)

i ve go back to 1.1 beta and i dont have any droped frames on servus tv. Hmmm.
I have also installed vista, but with the same results like windows 7.

It is possible that anyone can test it too. Maybe thats a problem for me alone ?

One more info. On my sytem where i have the TV Server installed (Zotac 9300 with dualcore pentium 6300) ive tested the version 3,
and i can say the framdrops on a non multiseat system with the channel servus tv hd is gone zero. the framedrops coming from the multiseat.

After all my tests it turned out that dll1 and dll2 are the best IN AVERAGE. Although dll2 has sometimes a little more dropped frames, it gives a better overall viewing experience. So my vote goes for dll2.

My results may have been skewed do to a plugin that somehow found its way to my test setup.

I'm going to retest them all.

friggen fanart plugin making videos play like suck =[

Intel E6300 dual core 2.80 ghz
    Nvidia ION 9300
    windows 7 ultimate x64
nvidia driver 190.62 (yes i know its older, no I have not seen any performance differences with newer drivers. newer drivers have bugs with resize desktop and other issues).

using coreavc 2.0 with cuda acceleration.
    retest info:

disaster's dll he pm'd me: 0 dropped frames during bird scene
dll 1: flawless playback, 0 dropped frames during bird scene
dll 2: flawless playback as well, 0 dropped frames during bird scene
dll 3: flawless playback as well, 0 dropped frames during bird scene
dll 4: same, but graph was kind of saw-toothed. green was pretty linear, but yellow is really jaggy, and red is pretty jaggy as well.

Sorry this isn't much help anymore =[ When the plugin was eating CPU (guess thats where the bottleneck is, #2 was best).
