Incompatible with current MediaPortal? (1 Viewer)

Hey,

Brand new install.

Did a straight drop of plugin files into MP folder.

Now Media Portal crashes...

I was able to get this message from the setup...

An error occured while loading the plugin MediaPortal.GUI.Video.TVSeriesPlugin.
It's incompatible with the current MediaPortal version and won't be loaded.

try the svn version, works great. Also, if you are using xface skin, have a little look in the xface mockup thread found in the tv-series-forum(this forum), it is so great=D

Hate to sounds like a dum dum. What be SVN version?

Also, did nothing other than installed MP and ran setup.

Ran MP to confirm it was working, then tried the TV.

All settings are at defaults.

also, you have to configurate tv-series, atleast set up which folders you want it to locate your series.

Inker and all, I think there is a big problem with this plugin now. It appears this kid is right. I can't import anything. It just gets cought in some sort of a loop. I tried to import a few series at first, but it got stuck in a loop. So I tried to empty my database and re-import everything, but it still gets caught in a loop.

It just says Found 8 matching results for 24

(which is the series 24 with jack bauer)

now, it should ask me which of those 8 is the right series, but it doesn't, intstead it just does that over and over again, now it says "Found 8 matching results for 24" atleast a 100 times, it does it every second.

I think this has to do with a change I made that involved some refactoring of the import logic. I will look at it when I get home and try to get a fixed version as soon as possible. If you don't want to wait, for the time being this SVN version from a few days ago should not contain this error. The only thing it will be missing is the new experimental removable storage feature Inker recently added.

are there also svn versions for tvseries? i mean update ones? cause i thought no changes where being done to the plugin.

is there any place i can download them from? and the description of the fixes in each svn?

The latest SVN version is available in the following thread, although the latest version as runarius pointed out has a pretty bad bug:
