Can confirm this has fixed my issue as well.

However I am now getting the occasional recording coming up blank. Not sure if this is related. I am hopeless at saving the log files and they get written over - will try to catch the next one when it happens to see if its a channel changing issue - which I suspect it is.

The issue with the wron channel frequency is still there. But maybe it has something to do with the diseqc. I am having a monoblock LNB (SMB 21: http://www.wela-electronic.de/de/backend/downloads/LNB Standard Edition_web.pdf)

I made two .tpl files only with some frequencies. One for the hotbird and one for astra. After Autotune MP found only the Hotbird channels. But with both complete lists of all frequncies, he found also some channels of astra, but with a wrong frequency.

It has to be a problem of MP, because I've downloaded the newest BDA and WDM drivers from digital-everywhere (floppyDTV/fireDTV). Installed MyTheatre(fireDTV version which is included in the wdm driver pack) with the BDA drivers and the channel search (and diseqc changing) worked fine.

Anyway, now I am having the problem that MP could not find a graph for my card and autotune is not working and no signal is shown in the tunig window... besides that i am having a windows error which says that the "media center remote service" occured an error... I think that I have to reinstall windows mce 2005 again...

    we are currently reworking the dvb stuff in MP so yes it can be
    that some cvs versions are not working
    Guess thats the risk of using latest cvs versions

    Anyway make sure you regvr32 mpsa.ax every time
    since this thing is under heavy development

    reason for the big changes is
    1. better epg/mhw grabbing
    2. better scanning for dvb channels
    3. better architecture for the future

    ...and the autotune parameters problem continues...

    Thanks Frodo, because autotune it's not working well to some channels! Just 3 channels and only the same 3 channels in more the 100 are well auto-tuned, strange...
    I always use one database save'd from a previous version that was well tunned (I don't know if all entry's are well but I can see all channels with it)
    Here is an example of one channel in the good database and with an autotune with yesterday's CVS (the mpsa.ax is registered!):

    Good parameters (saved database):

    I have installed CVS 07-30-2005--01-14 and I can now receive channel ABC 2 without the video freezing.... :D

    In fact, I can now switch between all channels without any "frozen video" or blank screens. The Video PID for ABC 2 is now correct in both the channel data and the pmt data... :D :D

    However, Autotune still selects the wrong centre frequency for 3 of my 5 channels (I workaround this issue by using the modified dvbt.xml file listed previously) and deleting the AC3 PIDs from the channel data does not seem to remove it from the pmt data - for example (this is for channel Nine, where I have set the AC3 PID to 0):-.

    Well I had it working but the newer CVS's seem to have broken it again. But fixed many of my other issues ;) . Could someone take a look into why the PID's are not removed from the pmt data when you delete them in the config - would help out a great deal.

    I have just done a completely fresh install (uninstalled the previous MP version, deleted all the folders and started from scratch) of MP v0.2.0.0 RC2 with the latest CVS applied and I noticed that the Autotune process still gets the incorrect frequencies for many of my DVB-T channels.

    For example:-

    channel 7 is actually on 177,500 - but MP set it at 177,625

    channel 10 is actually on 219,500 - but MP set it at 226,625

    channel 2 is actually on 226,500 - but MP set it at 226,625

    The only channels that MP got right were the ones with a freqency of xxx,625.

    I have been able to workaround this issue by modifying the dvbt.xml file to be:-

    Code:
       <country name="Australia - Melbourne" offset="0">
    		<carrier frequency="177500" bandwidth="7" />
    		<carrier frequency="191625" bandwidth="7" />
    		<carrier frequency="219500" bandwidth="7" />
    		<carrier frequency="226500" bandwidth="7" />
    		<carrier frequency="536625" bandwidth="7" />
    	</country>

    Changing to the correct frequencies makes the channel changes much quicker and smoother - presumably because the DVB-T card can lock into the channel quicker if it is tuned to the correct frequency?

    Can I ask where you can get information on the frequencies of stations. I am also in Melbourne. The HD channels are probably on a different frequency from the channels you posted, right?

    I used a utility called ScanChannelsBDA to find the correct frequencies and PIDs.

    Then you can use the exact code that I have posted above - the HD channels share the same frequencies as the SD channels - they are accessed via different PIDs within the same transport stream.

    Hi Taipan,
    Last week I did a fresh and updated install on my HTPC, using 2.0 and RC2
    I'm having the same problem using the Italian Autotune and the Europe Autotune.

    It starts the scan and finds 3/4 of the channels present in my area.
    The rest of them are found also, since I see the signal bar going up and it says found signal, but no channels are added.

    Do you think is a behaviour that can be similar to yours?
    What is needed to further analyze this issue?
    Does ScanChannelsBDA work for every country?

    Last but not least. Since this post is becoming hot and related to 2.0 RC2 shouldn't be better to change its name?

    Ciao

    Cristiano
