I thought this bit of info here would benefit the plugin, so here goes.

I've added a new public event to the static g_player class (g_Player.PlayBackChanged).

If you are interested in avoiding the problem as described in the mantis case, then u will need to use the above mentioned event.

Take a look at myvideos sources.

Hrmm... We are currently using the PlaybackStopped event. Guess we will have to switch it, thanks for the heads up.

For future reference to anyone finding this issue in the future, the problem with Moving Pictures can be tracked here and it will be addressed after the release of MP RC4.

well u should subscribe to both events. Just look at how myvids does it.
check svn for quick diffs.
