Hd-pvr +stuttering Hi everybody i have been using Mediaportal for some time now and has just got a Hd-pvr and i also got it to work more or less first here is my conf Server case = Chenbro Es34069 mini itx server case 4 hotswap disk Mainboard = Intel D945gclf2 miniitx with atom 330 prosessor Ram = 4 Gb Harddrive = 4 x 500gb sata2 (Windows disk 1. timeshift disk 2 . recording disk 3) Tvcard = Hauppauge Hd-pvr Lan = Gigabit Windows = Vista ultimate (mediaportal server 1.0.2) Client 1 Msi media live Prosessor= amd dual core 2 x 2,53ghz Grafic= onbord nvida gf 6150 Ram= 4 Gb lan= Gigabit Harddrive = 500gb sata2 Windows= vista home premium (mediaportal client 1.0.2) connected to 42" lg LCD via Hdmi Client 2 Mainboard = intel G45 miniitx Prosessor = dual core 2x 2,53ghz Ram = 4gb Harddrive = 500gb sata 2 Grafic = Intel g45oo onboard lan = Gigabit Connected to 52" samsung Lcd via hdmi I am currently only using the Hd-pvr via the s-vhs input and audio acc with sky Brasil SD signal pal-m or ntsc i got it to work using cyberlink powerdvd 8 i can wach live tv but i have a lot of stuttering i have checked the CPU on the server and the client on the server i have 10-15 % Cpu Lan is under 2% and harddisk is around 1 Mb in taskmanager on the clients i also have low CPU on the Msi around 20-30% and on the Intel 10-15 but still stuttering this is also the same if i play back a recording from the server on the other hand if i move the recorded file to the video folder of one of the clients it plays back fine .For me it seems to be a problem with the stream between the server and the clients . I have tryed to use Graphedit but that i beond my understanding how to use that . For info i have only installed the arcsoft programs on the server to setup the hd-pvr on the clients i use Cyberlink. I have one doubt about the Hd-pvr if i am right the hd-pvr always outputs in h264 ewen if the tv signal i SD I have tryed to lower the bitrate on the hd-pvr but it dosent seem to change the fact that live/recorded tv stutters I was worryed that the spec of my server was the problem but even with a dual core Atom the The cpu stays around 10-15% during live tv or recording I am planing to get the new settop box from sky here in brasil with 10 channels in hd but if i cant get it to work with sd it will probaly not be better with 720P or 1080i Best regards Dyrvig And thanks for a great program :
