Hello MarcusAureli: Yeah, this is getting to be a long thread. Chesh did a quick summary of the basic install a while ago. It is post number 581 around page 59. This was before version 1.1 Final but I don't think anything has changed. Hope this helps .... Thanks to Chesh!! Sorry, in reading your initial question, it sounds like it is the blaster that is causing the problem. I've always fought with IR Blaster Suite but most here have used it with good results. It would probably be the one most used so you may want to do a search for it and give it a try first. I'm using the blaster on the HDPVR with more success. Be sure to download the latest drivers as they seem to work better for the blaster than previous versions. Also you will need to download and install and run the 'IR Blaster Configuration Program' from the Hauppauge HDPVR driver download site. It's under the 'Accessories' tab. You may also have to download and install the 'IR Remote Control Applet'. That may be built into MP now. In the configuration program select and test your sat. model. I'm with Shaw which uses Motorola receivers. If you can get the Configuration program to to blast your sat. receiver, then it should work in MP. Go into the TV Server configuration and in the plugin section select the IR Blaster plugin and then within it select Hauppauge as the brand of blaster. Sorry if these aren't exact names for the plugins but I'm not in front of my media server. Hope this helps. Dale
