Hello and welcome to the forum :),

It's not a bug but something specific to your system that prevents the DirectX 9 Web-installer to download the package. I will therefore move this thread to the general support section.

Please have a look at the installation part of our Wiki. As described there it is important that your Windows is fully patched: sometimes missing updates lead to problems.
You may also try to download the DirectX 9 Runtime package from the link in the Wiki and install it manually. If this works then try the MP2 setup once again. If you then still can't install DX9, we need to take a closer look at your Windows system.

  • About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.

Care to support our work with a few bucks? We'd really appreciate it!
