install error no internet connection (1 Viewer)

Hi All,

I have an old version of media portal on my PC, over the last year and a half I've had limited internet access due to dile up at home and no access at work anymore, anway I recently got broadband at home as the local phone exchange was finally activated. I decided to upgrade media portal, I downloaded 1.02 but when I went to install the downloaded file I got an error straight away saying I don't have an internet connection, what am I doing wrong? Is ther some setting I need to change on my broadban connection? any Ideas?

The two things I've heard of creating this problem are either anti-virus programs, or the need for proxy configuration. Just something for you to check.

third party firewall maybe?

Great thanks, once I remover the fire wall (Zone alarm) there was no problem.
