I´ve got the same problem like coco before but I couldn´t install mediaportal because the files that are required for the installation couldn´t downloaded-->http://install.team-mediaportal.com/DeployTool/ApplicationLocations.xml

I´m connected to internet all the time and no firewalls or so on activated. "Installation" abort and "Only Download Files" abort too.

Please could you help me?

Hi KS, I've seen a few people with these type of issues and I know there are answers but I just can't remember them at the moment.

I do know the installer uses the Internet Connection settings so can you confirm that you can reach that file with IE?

Welcome to MP and hopefully we can solve this for you soon :)

and I choosed open *.xml files with IE ...

    [edit]
maybe it works if I start windows in security mode but the problem isn´t solved then...

can you confirm that you do not use a proxy setting within IE. I had a similar issue due to proxy being used. I don't think MP Installer likes it.

No No I didn´t change anything at proxy settings in IE but it works now.

I think the problem was the Microsoft Framenetwork 1.1 for Vista because there was a new update for this aviable and then I restarted the PC and now it works--> thats Mircosoft :p

    but thanks for your help.
