I have been trying to install Mediaportal on my machine but every time it attempts to download MySQL, the download stops at about 95% and then says that there was an error accessing the server. I've re-installed windows and tried to install MySQL directly from MySQL's site but continue to run into issues. MediaPortal will install just fine without the TVserver but that is what I really need. I have also tried older versions of MP but the installation still hangs up with MySQL. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
* I did have MP fully installed and operational on this machine when it was running Vista.

MediaPortal Version: 1.2.1
MediaPortal Skin: Default
Windows Version: Windows 7 SP1 32-bit
CPU Type: AMD Athlon 2.60 Ghz
HDD: 500 GB
Memory: 4GB
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 9500GT
1. TV Card: Hauppauge WinTV-HVR
1. TV Card Type: USB

    AW: Installation errors

    Hi.
Normally MP downloaded an MySQL version not hosted on MySQL website (hosted on MP server). So the hacker attack shoud not have anything to do with the download problem during install...

Maybe you'll try to download the MySQ msi file manually with a Download Manager from MP werbserver.
    URL shoud be:
    http://install.team-mediaportal.com/mysql-essential-5.1.38-win32.msi
After downloading you can install MySQL by double clicking the file or put it in %Temp%\MediaPortal Installation\deploy\ (e.G. c:\Windows\Temp\MediaPortal Installation\deploy\) right after starting the installation. Then deploy tool thinks the file is downloded already and just installs it with default values.

This should only be done in case of download problems. The normal way to download via deploy tool is always the prefered way...

I got it to install. Finally. For some reason I could not download the file from any machine on my network. So I went outside of my network and got the file. I'll have to look into that.
