Preface this, I'm a Mac user and only have moderate experience with Windows. I wanted to set up a HTPC or at least a PVR. Arcsoft Total Media came with one of the USB sticks and worked fine for a week, then refused to access the tuners.

I really liked the look of MediaPortal. I read the documentation, downloaded and installed MP. The installation failed with the message that mscvcr.dll wasnot installed. I tried three times with the same result.

Where do I find the file, and how do I install it?

Hi,

Which file is it claimed you're missing? 'mcevcr.dll' (as in topic) or 'mscvcr.dll' (as in your message)? Also, depending on when it fails isn't there a log file created?
