    Hello all

I am trying to upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2RC. The idea is to get the Hauppauge Colossus card working. When I try to upgrade or reinstall fresh install, I get the following error.

Media Portal Deploy Tool -- Error
Failed to install application [Directx9c - June 2010]

    What should I do?

    Thanks,
    Srikanth

    Hi skoka123

    Two things:
    - the computer must be connected to the internet while installing (or you must pre-install the required packages when you have internet access)
    - you must run the installer with administrator privileges (right click + run as administrator)

I wasn't sure if the logs would help (or if there would be any) as I was having error installing Directx and not MP.

Anyway, I had uninstalled all of MP and then did a fresh reinstall. That worked. So the problem is now resolved.

    Thanks for all the inputs.
