Hello,

Their is a bug in the installer, I'm getting an out-of-space warning on my 10 TB System which has around 3 TB of free space to install this.

My SSD Boot Drive is full, but I set installation path to D:\ which is my fastest 1 TB drive (with 848 GB of space available) and I get told that both drives are full and that I should delete some stuff.

Using the custom setup option with Client & Server, both paths D:\

Any idea's, it seems like a bug to me.

Regards,

Jordan.

tested and confirmed. New mantis created.

    Thx for reporting this issue.

We need to take a look whether we will fix it or not. Might be that we simply set a minimum of free hard disk space on primary disk to install MP2, even if it is installed on a secondary disk.

Ok, I ran the installation log as provided; do you still need this? I also managed to get the program to install after clearing around 100 MB of space on the primary drive.

Thanks for running installation again. You don't need to attach the log. My guess is that windows installer needs some space in temp folder or other system directories to run the installation. I plan to set this issue as "no bug" and simply add "3oo MB free space on system drive for installation" or maybe 500 to be on the safe side.

Nevertheless thanks for pointing this out.

Not to forget e.g. the ProgramData Folder which will be created on the primary drive.
I installed MePo (TVserver) into a ram disk and there were some file on C in any way.

MP2 supports to modify the data folder, either by the xml file or by a commandline parameter "-d" when starting the application.

If you already used one of them, some files might still end up in ProgramData because of a bug. This has been resolved already in latest development branch and will be included in next release.

I've set it to "Won't fix" since it shouldn't be a big deal to keep 200MB free space.
We are using WiX Toolkit for our installer. Windows installer automatically creates restore points and manages rollbacks during installations and updates in case of an error and for this it needs some space on the system drive.
