Yeah I know - just raising the point.
I've zipped up the XMLs so can recreate them on a whim - maybe this is a simpler option to add programatically?
Recreate or update the .zip everytime an extension is added...
I fixed it by reinstalling the extensions - oddly it looks like several XMLs were deleted as the skin (Apollo) lost all it's settings too...
