Intel Socket 775 2.8GHZ need silent fan (1 Viewer)

HI There

I have a great Media Centre running Media portal however my one and only remaining problem is the noise of my CPU fan, I have an Intel LGA775 2.8ghz Prescott processor.

When i started this whole setup noise wasnt something i paid alot of attention to however it is now really starting to annoy me,

i have replaced the stock fan with a ZALMAN cpu cooler which is a little quieter but far from silent.

I was wondering if anyone else has the same or similar cpu and was wondering what the had done to keep the noise down on the CPU.

Try using a voltage-regulator on your zalman. My copper fan zalman came with this. A black box with a little regulator-knob.
