After successfully installing Media Portal 1.0.0.0 I experienced problems loading / importing my database. I elected to add both Moving Pictures and Streamed MP skin. This gave me access to a somewhat clean import of metadata from DVD Profiler. The problem arose that the ISO's would not mount. I then elected to change the daemon from Virtual CloneDrive to Daemon Tools Lite and use the internal player in lieu of the preferred VideoLAN.

I can now see all of my movies (ISO) in the Streamed MP skin with all associated metadata.
Selecting any of these files will launch the internal player. The movie (any) will play for 3:00 to 3:30 minutes then freeze. I can either wait for MP to recover or access Task Manager to halt the application.

I have included the Dxdiag and Configuration logs with the attached log.zip

This could be codec related, why your using MPV over the M$ codec which is much better, especially at aspect ratio recognition, I don't know.

Can you try the same thing using the M$ codecs, you can do this without video running "on the fly" in MP's GUI, go to settings, choose dvd, select M$ codecs for both audio\video.

Is there any difference now, if not download the PowerDVD9 trial (this will use your cards dxva), do not activate, just use the codecs and see if things are better.

Nothing in logs to say anything else.

Take it you also have security turned off in daemon tools, again this is one thing that does not register within logs.

    Regards

    PD,

Thx for the response. M$ codecs = same results. Tried fddshow as well. Tried running windowed @ original format.
No success. I have purchased most all players, CyberLink (detest), ArcSoft TMT, Nero9, WinDVD, AVS4YOU etc. So I should have a ton of codecs available.
    I am codec illiterate:oops:

Actually I got no audio w/ M$ audio codec.

Please point me to the TMT or PDVD codecs and where to put then or how to point to them.

Daemon security is off. Any ideas why VCD balks? Again, it runs smooth with VLC and VDC for MyVideos folder:confused:

    Again, thx for the help!

Odd... stumbled upon this thread after a search. I have the same issue, though I'm working with a VIDEO_TS folder structure. After about three minutes the video freezes, audio continues. If I press pause and then play, video catches up with sound again. No more issues for the remainder of the film.

The odd thing is, this happens with both the internal player, when playing DVD's from the HDD (VIDEO_TS structure) and with playing a physical DVD. In both cases a freeze after about three minutes.

I'm using the PDVD9 codec. But this same issue happens when using the MS codec. Any thoughts about this anyone?
