Since a few month i own an iPhone, so i would be equipped with the gadget now.
However since firmware 2.1, which is available fo the iPhone and iTouch (and probably other ipods), the music database on the iPOd is somehow no longer accessible for non-apple programs. Ot at least not without re-engineering it.

so currently i see no way to uincorporate iPod support

WinAMP still works just fine for Ipods. so I don't think that is right... Pretyy sure my firmware is up to date..

I too think this could be an excellent idea, I would like to be able to use MP to Sync my IPOD (currently using WinAmp but to be able to do it with MP would be ace)

I haven't done any further research on that.
Not clear what advantage it would bring. Music on the iPod is most probably available on local HD or NAS anyhow. so we can play it from there.

True, but it would be nice to have an interface through MP to be able to load and unload songs to and from my media PC and the ipod.
