IR Help Required (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I've been struggling with IRServerSuite & MediaPortal. My setup is unique as I have one master computer doing multiple things.

1.Mediaportal Client & TV Server
2.SqueezeBox Server & Multiple SqueezeSlaves
3.ZWave Home Automation Control
4.Charmed Quark Controls (Automation Software that controls/interacts with items 2 & 3 via Nuvo Control Pads, USBUIRT, and Software.)

TV Server Config:
-Hauppage MCE-HVR-2250 Dual Analog Setup (Using the IR Receiver/Transmitter to interact with MP via Harmony 900.)
-Hauppage HD-PVR Satellite STB connected to this.

My problem is that I can’t get the IR Server Suite to learn the STB codes through the Hauppage IR card. When trying to learn the device codes the program times out.

With some extra work by disabling my CQC automation software I can use the USB-UIRT to learn the codes but I lose a lot of my other systems which isn’t good. I have tried using the codes learned from the USB-UIRT to blast out to through the Hauppage Transmitter but the STB does not respond. I have also tried using an additional USB-UIRT in conjunction with the other IRs but I run into problems with controlling MediaPortal. Inputs seem to be doubling up like I'm pushing any key or number two or more times.

So, the big question is that will someone please help me fix the Hauppage IR system correctly so that I can blast out to my STB?

Alternatively, is there any way to isolate the USB-UIRTs in the IR Server program so it knows which one I want it to use?

even if I am working on IRSS from time to time (since no other dev is currently active working on it), I never touch the hardware related IR Server Plugins, because these require knowledge about hardware, maybe drivers etc.

Hopefully someone else here using USB-UIRT can give you help you more in this part.

Do you use the IRSS' MPControlPlugin to control MP and disabled MP's own USB-UIRT feature?
Do you have disabled MediaPortal's MCE feature?
You can try to disable the MCE remote's automatic buttons.

What does the IRSS Debug Client tells you? How often do you see a button press in there?

Hi Chefkoch,

I have worked out my USB-UIRT problems but I am now having problems with the IR suite learning the codes.

The following buttons aren't working correctly, even though the software is reporting that it's learned the code. (0, 6, 7, 9)

Do you have any suggestions for this?
