Because my IRtrans receiver is on a different PC than my HTPC, it would be great if in the IRTrans remote configuration we could not only choose the port to listen to but also the host (name or address).
Any idea if this is possible (even by editing some setting)
I have tried IRSS to listen to commands received by my remote IRServer. It works but repeating keys is slow and not smooth. I wonder if listening directly to the IRServer from MP would give better reactivity.
Also, do any LAN IRtrans owner could confirm that long key presses give smooth and fast behaviour (scrolling in lists for example)? It does the trick in USB but what about IR over IP?
