Today I did a complete reinstall of IRSS 1.4.2.3129 and the same problem occurs.

Why not using the latest ?

Installation goes fine but as soon as I try to enter the setup of IRSS I get an error message (see screenshot for details).

When I start MP configuration I get the same error message, when I deinstall IRSS again no error message when opening MP-configuration.

The issue is coming from firesatapi.dll, that is from Digital-Everywhere.
Is that a leftover or you have that remote/card as well ?

First of all thanks for your reaction.

Indeed I do have a FloppyDTV, I am using the card for LiveTV. I'm not using the remote capability of the card.

Just downloaded the most recent build of IRSS but it gives the same error message.

    Looks promising:

After renaming no crashes of IRSS or MP-config. Within IRSS setup I deactived the FireDTV remote, only keeping the IrTrans active. Remote now works in MP.
Renamed the firesatapi.old back to .dll -> still no crashes of IRSS. Probably because it is deactived now.

Maybe for future releases no auto selection on detection for FireDTV?

    Thanks for the help.

what version of DE drivers are you using ?

    Simone

Difficult to exactly deduce which version is installed. Within system properties it states version 4.8.

Had some difficulties getting the FlopyDTV to work correctly in the past. This driver version is probably beta.

There is a newer beta on the website of DE now, maybe I'll try that later on.

    Hmm cheered to early.

Same crashes now again, although FireDTV is turned off in IRSS setup.

Renamed the dll back to .old, and it is working again. Seems that the dll is not needed for the TV part, LiveTV is working in MP.

    Hi.
Finally, thx to Belcom, my MCE remote trough imon is working with mediaportal. Unfortunaly the most important button BACK/"ESC" does not work. In windows it works as backspace, etc. one page back in internet explorer. But in mediaportal it goes to the top of a menu not the usual ESC to previous page. Mediaportal is setup with MP blaster plugin and MCE remote in the remote section.
Additional if MCE remote is used with mce ir receiver these setting works.

    So: windows (IE) mediaportal
MCE + mce ir one page back previous menu
MCE + imon one page back goes to top

    Anyone know why this happens?

    (also posted in IMON topic)

I'm having problems with TV watching in MP and have described it in more detail here:
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...0/mp-stops-responding-when-watching-tv-72955/

Since I'm still not sure exactly where the weak link is, I wanted to post the IRSS part of the question here as well.

When MP stops responding to rthe emote control IRSS log displays following info:
    Code:
    2009-11-05 20:31:24.213051 - Debug:	Microsoft MCE generated a remote event: 57408
2009-11-05 20:31:24.213051 - Info:	Abstract Remote Button not found: Microsoft MCE (57408)
    2009-11-05 20:31:24.213051 - Debug:	SendToAll(RemoteEvent, Notify)

What could be causing the "Abstract Remote Button not found" message?
And does that message explain the behavior I described?

    Thanks!
    MPM

    BTW, I'm using IRSS 1.4.2.3064

    Hello.

I have configured the translator plugin to blast ir to my tv (on-off) on suspend and resume. I works perfect when mediaportal is not open, but if mediaportal is active and i push the pc button on my mce remote (on-off) the translator does not turn off my tv when the computer goes into standby.. But it turns on allrigt on resume.. Anyone know why?
