I've been trying the IR Server Suite for a couple of weeks now and I have a bit of problem I'm afraid. The Translator and The Tray Launcher regulary loose connection with the IR server. A couple of minutes after i start the server the connection is lost. When I read the log file for the Translator it says "Communications with server has been lost" No errors in the server log. Running Vista Home Pro - Please help or advise.

Well its not the remote itself. Im still getting the double button press issue. I un-installed the driver for ehome and reinstalled, no progress...any ideas?

    Can you please supply the log files for the whole IR Server Suite zipped up?

    It sounds like the TCP/IP connection is being terminated. Which is odd.

    Did you make the registry modification? Because re-installing the driver will reset the modification.

    Also, you can already make shortcuts or put commands in batch files to tell Translator to run a macro. If you call Translator.exe with the command line option "-Macro xxxx" then if Translator is already running it will execute that command, there are other command line options detailed in the documentation as well.

    I've added a button to the 1.0.4.2 version of Translator that will create a shortcut on the desktop for any of your macros.

    Hi Aaron

    I'm running WIndows XP Pro service pack 2 with MCE remote. I have installed and configured the IR suite, it works fine with the remote & MP. I cant seem to get the blasters to work. I successfully learn the IR signals from my LG Plasma TV and Sony Amplifier, when I test the blast the emitter lights up, but nothing happens to the equipment I am trying to control. Please help as I would really like to get the plugin to work.

    I have tried with a fresh install of MP 2.3.0 with no SVN to make sure that it's not the SVN causing it...

    I am running MP 2.3.0 with SVN-Snapshot: 01-22-2008 05-04h - Revision:17122

    Yesterday Itried the MCE repalcement pluging with the SP1 patch files and that blasts correctly to my devices. I have also installed the IR Server MCE Tranceiver SP1 files with no luck in getting blasting from IR server suite to work.

    Any help would be appreciated, as I would like the added functionality of IR server suite

    Thanks for the reply. I fixed the double press issue. I look foreword to the shortcuts and version 1.04.2.!!

    What am I forgetting to do?

    Hi,

    NOOB here.

    I'm trying to get my ONEforALL remote to work with MP. I've got WinLIRC running and installed the IR suite. The plugin recognized all my key presses, and even set up buttons in the 'My Remote' template correctly. When I started MP the remote had no effect. Is there anything else I need to do to get the IR suite to talk to MP? I don't need to set up any macros or control other devices. Is there some other setting in MP I should make sure is correct (ei., have the MCE remote selected in the remote section)?

    I've spent all day on this and am getting frustrated... it should be an easier task than I'm making it.:oops:

    I'm running Win XP home sp2 and the previous SVN (not the broken newest one)

    To answer a few of your posts (sorry, I'm pressed for time right now, I'll try to post more later):

    Everyone having blaster problems: Make sure you updated your install with the patches I posted earlier in this thread.
    Yes I'm sure. But to be even more sure I removed all old and reinstalled IR Server 1.0.4.1 (including the patch) and eHome drivers ( Yes I'm also using HidIr since I need it for my external player in MP and have removed some button mappings) and everything is working OK. :D
    Even Standby and Resume now.

    But
    it's very sensitive. After a couple of blasts it stop blasting and the only way to get it to work again is to reboot my HTPC. (I've tried restart of IR Server, Translator and Input Services )
    In the log file you could see what happens when just testing (not using remote) to blast in Translator setup. The last blasts nothing happned.

    Current version now works wonder with my MCE remote. Just a little problem, if I wake from S3 standby using keyboard (set thru bios), the computer will wakeup but the MCE receiver will not respond to any key press. The red LED will not light up. But if I wake-up the computer using MCE remote, everything is fine. Any idea why?

    iMON receiver and MCE remote

    Hi!
    I'm new in this forum and I might missed something obvious. I want to use the soundgraph reciever in my Silverstone casing with a MCE remote. Is this possible and is IR server suite the way?


    EDIT:
    I know that I can use the iMON software but since I don't like it and I can't get all features to work the way I want, I'm intersted in the IR server suite.

    No worries, I'll look into it and try to duplicate the problem. The device might need to be reset after resume.

    There is no iMON support in the IR Server Suite at the moment, I'll add it to the list of things to do.

    In the meantime try looking around the forums, I think there are a few threads about the iMON.

    Sorry I can't be of more assistance at the moment.
