    Hi,

I use a Philips SBC RU 760 learning remote to replace my MCE remote. So if you cannot get it working with the USB-IRDA. Then buying a MCE remote could be an option, as they are not too expensive and you get two IR blasters in the deal.

    Cheers,

    /James

    Hi orloc,

I have a Philips macro learning remote (but not pronto). I have learnt all the MCE buttons using my remote (As I have no computer link or ccf files).

However, the MCE buttons toggle between two different codes. There is a registry change that I found on the net (google) which disables this behavour. So that the MCE USB IR receiver is happy with the same code and not the toggle code.

This works well for me and I was able to learn all the buttons from my MCE European remote wihtout problems.

    Cheers,

    /James

    Hi Orlroc,

As I suggested it my be worth buying the real MCE remote. As it works without problems with MP and then you have the real remote if any extra button learning is required.

Here in Switzerland they only cost CHF 42.-, which I don't think is very much for a remote, receiver and two IR blasters.

    Cheers,

    /James
