I believe that the following TV3 behaviors is flawed and should be re-looked at…
(p.s. I have a single TV-card, with a satellite-decoder going into the s-video, and channel changing happening via IR-Blaster)
1) I think the following happens because I have only one TV-card….
- First I schedule a recording for example on channel “Discovery” to start in 10min…
- Now I watch another channel, for example “Fashion TV”, while I’m waiting for the program to start on “Discovery”.
- At the scheduled time for the recording, I get a message popping up that states “Time shifting stopped due to a scheduled recording”, after which my TV goes black.
- If I want to continue watching TV, I now have to go to ‘TV Streams’ and connect to the recording stream.
2) Now the next issue screws up my recordings on a regular basis.....
Let’s assume we continue on from where point-1 above stopped… the recording has been running for 30min while I was outside playing with my dogs…
- My TV is black because of point-1 and I decide I’m going to connect to the “Discovery” TV-stream so that I can watch the show.
- As soon as I connect to the TV-Stream the channel changes again in the middle of the program. To clarify this, I’m busy recording the “Discovery” channel, therefore my TV-Card and Satellite-decoder is already on “Discovery” , but as soon as a Client connects to the TV-stream the channel on the satellite-decoder is changed again giving me the 2sec channel-change delay, and the information-bar from the satellite-decoder flashing again.
- Now at watching stage it is just an irritation, but when I watch the recording afterwards I get this 2sec delay and flashing information-bar in the middle of my recordings.
What makes this issue even worst is that I have a separate client setup in my office so that I can watch TV from there, which means that sometimes I have 2 or 3 flashing information-bars in my recording from every time a client connects to a TV-stream.
I hope that something can be done about this.....
