I do however find it strange that a fair few people seem to suffer the same symptoms..... v.strange.

This is why a list of your hardware or a log would be uesefull, cause then its easier to see whats causing the problems you (and others) are suffering...

people - if you are reporting issues then you need to supply logs and full system specs otherwise nothing will be done.

OK well here is the 1st log, I will post new ones as things happen.

I had a lockup. I selected TV - Turn on TV and then selected Full Screen Mode.

Hi,
yogiman_uk, did you play music (radio, etc) before you started MyTV, if you did thats it's a known issue & you should attach MediaPortal.log too (it gives much more information to confirm bugs).

I don't have the issues you have, but I'm with you that the overall feels a bit more buggy than before... I turned off animations and some other stuff, now it works fine except for some plugins.

No I didn't as i stated.... enter tv, turn on tv, goto full screen mode.

This is a silly question but how can 0.2.2.0 be released as stable if it is known that doing something as normal as entering another plugin before going to TV causes it to crash? I don't mean that rudely it just doesn't make much sense to me!

I've got DVDs in 0.2.2.0 to work with a little more stability IE no more no sound for no good reason and no total freezes while watching dvds by using the mpv codec for sound (which now seems to do a good job of spdif) and the codec cyberview (I think) with came with windvd.

However, still while viewing movies (DVDs) once or twice per movie it will suddenly jump to a random point in the film... now on a chapters end or beginning either.... it seems totally random.

I believe that going from windowed to full screen or vice-versa while the TV is 'on' is known to cause hangs.
