Is MediaPortal 1.1.0 SVN or Beta good enough for watching TV (1 Viewer)

Hello!

I am currently running MediaPortal 1.0.2 on a Windows Vista 64 system.
It works most of the time ok but my main problem is that my son is heavily recording TV so I am running out of disk.
My plan is to by a 2 TB disk and reinstall the computer with Windows 7 64bit. I have read about the remaining things before 1.1.0 RC1 is something with the tv-server.

My question is: Is it possible to use the current 1.1 for watching TV?
I can not upgrade until that is possible.

yes it is possible and for me it worked pretty well...

Thing is you won't be able to upgrade from beta/svn to the rc so you have to decide if you want to wait for rc or reinstall once it has been released.
