Is my ffdshow settings for Xvid/divx and DVD any good? (1 Viewer)

My Settings

Is there anything i can improve?






MediaPortal Version: Latest 1.0rc2 svn
MediaPortal Skin: Black & White 1080p
Windows Version: VISTA - Service Pack 1
MPEG2 Video Codec: Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD8)
MPEG2 Audio Codec: fddshow
h.264 Video Codec: MPC-HC (external player MPC-HC)
TV: Samsung LE-52A656A1F
TV - HTPC Connection: HDMI

    Since you have some horsepower with your proc, I would suggest doing a 2x ratio on the resize. e.g. 3840x2160 (4x is better but you might run out of headroom)

    During my intial setup, I found that this produced the sharpest picture even without running postprocessing. Be wary though, it gets very processor intensive on larger video files. I use 3 different profiles for varying resolutions of source files.

    I had to lower the resize for xvid (1280x720 now) i got lots of lost frames but sure i do use filters
