I was wondering if my Integrated Video Card is causing issues with me starting MediaPortal. I get to the Initializing DirectX... and it hangs. I've had it go past that and the pause happens at Loading Plug-in's... So my built in video card is Intel(r) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset family I know the website indicated that this is the Minimum. Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (integrated i865G) I'm not sure if my card is enough and if this is my directX stall issue or what. I also ran the Zip file and when I look at the MediaPortal.log or Error.log I got the below error indicated. D3D: Exception: Warning: Nothing will be rendered. The reference rendering device was selected, but your computer only has a reduced-functionality reference device installed. Please check if your graphics card and drivers meet the minimum system requirements. Oviously this leads me to believe that it's my Video Card, but just want to make sure. I have a new card coming, a GIGABYTE GV-R455D3-512I Radeon HD 4550 512MB 64-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card. My hope is this will work :) Thanks Chip
