    Hi,

I have an home server (NAS, downloads) with
    • Intel 945GSEJT (single atom cpu with HT, 1.6GHz)
    • 2 GB 533 DDR2 ram
    • 1.5T WD sata2 green (5400rmp) hdd
    • Windows 7 pro (aero disabled)
I can read/write files with 50MB/s from clients. Can I use as dedicated MP TV server with an USB DVB-T tuner for 2 cliens (HD 1080i ~8-9Mbs)?

I ran a server on that board about a year ago and yes it works but its not with a good margin. If you're watching tv while your server is handling other stuff the stutter will begin. Unraring, muxing video, etc..

Today I have an atom 525, and that's much better. It can do more things at the same time = better WAF.

How many is the CPU percent during a HD streaming to MP client?
