does it decode or pass-thru the dts/dd/ac3 encoded tracks?
i've got the dvd player to pass-thru but haven't had much success with the video player on downloaded streams.
honestly i don't want any audio decoding because my soundcard has two modes:
DTS CONNECT 7.1 -> sends 2 channel audio at 48khz 1.5megabit to toslink
pass-thru
so i'm wondering how to disable all the decoding so the datastream is handled by the sound card.
this requires outputting the standard audio to "SPEAKERS: HDA XPLOSION 7.1" for standard audio
and digital output:HDA Xplosion for digital streams.
maybe i used the wrong word. some codecs will downsample ac3/dd/dts and not just pass them through. Some can even upsample (for digital). since my soundcard handles pass-thru, and has hardware upsampling i was kinda wondering you got about this.
pass all ac3/dd/dts through (digital output), send 2 channel audio to (Xplosion 7.1: speakers DTS Connect).
absolutely do not do anything else to the audio such as downmix or attempt to create virtual surround etc.
Possible?
