maybe, you can provide an plugin for IRSS, for support your board. at least for the IR receiving/transmiting, also already compatible with MP1 & MP2

I'll have a look at it. I decided to make a TVS plugin, because the TVS is always running and so the remot can also be used to control another application if necessary.

Myscha, how would you rate the cost of your solution in comparison to this estimated number?

My rough estimation lies also in the range of 25€ (@50pcs.) - maybe 20€ could be reached, but without housing and with onboard IR receiver. So unless special features are desired, or many participants are found, it's the question whether it makes much sense then.
