I have been playing a little with MeediOS, and they have som very nice menus. And very nice genre implementation:


Main Menu: (costumizeable) - Sorry the bad screenshot!



Movies Menu: (Select All Movies, to bring up all movies, or select a category, ex. genre)
- Further more, very nice this comes as a seperate menu before viewing the movies...



Genre Overview: (All genres, based upon the imdb details)



Movie list: (Flow mode, very nice. Other view mode's is avilable)




So the menu's come in the order described above! Very, Very Nice

Yes, all that will be possible and is already implemented. Just a matter of getting things out the door.

And a lot more than that is also possible You could choose what info you would like to order etc.

I actually like the idea about adding "new" to the covers like in the last screenshot. We just need the option to specify what each will consider "new". As an example, I might think that a movie is new if it has been added to the database within the last 2 weeks, while others might think of it as new only if it has been added since last time Movingpictures was accessed. Or maybe a movie is New, if you have never seen the detailed info.

Damn, I can't wait for this release, its gonna be so great.

I haven't heard anything about adding overlays to pictures (like 'New'), only the categories ans filtering system. Is that also a feature in 0.8?
