I just wanted to know is there a way in mp via a plugin or whatever to map a keypress such a 'd' to launch a shortcut on the desktop ... sounds stupid but basically i am setting up mp so that when i use the hdstarter plugin it loads the ati profile for 24p and then when i turn off my htpc and turn it back on again it switches back to the normal 50hz profile... but because i am using the imon software to map my harmony remote i need a way to press a button on the remote such as the # button which i can then map to mean say 'd' in the imon software and then mediaportal to react so that when 'd' is pressed it launchs the shortcut for the 50hz profile... this probably sounds very complicated and kinda stupid but hopefully there is a way to do this... if its not possible plz let me know so i stop trawling the net looking for a solution lol... thanks
EDIT: Straight after posting this i had an idea of using the shortcutter plugin to have a shortcut a .exe file which can change the profile which i can keep in the plugins menu out of the way... so now my question is how can i create a keyboard shortcut for the shortcut created by the plugin.... confusing myself now....
