The issue:

I made the changes (linked in the comments) to the moving-pictures.xml under StreamedMP (using a different graphic than the one provided). Nothing seems to happen on playback though...
It's my understanding that I needed to define the control (18) and then define when the control is visible... I basically copied/pasted both items from the blue3wide xml attached to the issue. I sub'd the background image in that example with one that existed in StreamedMPs media folder (tried multiple ones)...no dice. I'm not within arm's reach of my log files, but if those would be of help, I'll attach them later. Figured I'd post the problem while I had a minute though...
I'm using the latest/greatest of everything... MP 1.1 RC1, Latest StreamedMP and MovPics (1.0.4 I believe SMP says).
