Issue during TV Recording (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm back again with another issue regarding MP and TV recording. I have configured TV Server and all my favorite channels and now I would like to program recording like a normal VCR. I used the advanced settings, selected the channel and configured in the TV Server setup to start 5 min befor the programmed time and stop 5 min later. At this time I don't resuminf the HTPC from sleep or Hybernation medo, just boot the PC, program and wait.... In this test I selected "recording once" and "50 min" as stopping time.

The results is a mpeg file of about 38 min

I'm wondering why 38 min and not 50 min or, as expected, 60 min....

Someone has any idea?

what do you mean with HD Full?? my TV is HD Ready but I don't understand how it can modify the reconding time....

...what Olivier-h is refering to is your harddisk.

Maybe there is no more available space on your harddisk.

No my HDD is ok, I have about 100Gb of free space in the patition where the recordin folder is and 2Gb under the C: partiton....

hmmm.. i don't know where media portal/windows is putting his temp files but 2 gb is about 40 mins, maybe is the problem there.
Maybe you try to make more space free and tell us if you recordings > this 38 mins.

Hi, I made the check on the temp dir. Both of them are on the C: partition. I tried another test: program a recording task and monitoring the occupation space under C:. I recorded just about 20 min (650Mb) but no changes happened on the free space under C:

Anyway I moved the TEMP and TMP dir under D: and I'll perform a full recording test later

Recordings are made in the My Recordings folder under My Documents - I moved My Documents to another partition and don't have any trouble any more.

I changed the default dir path for recording to another dir under the D: partition with about 100GB of free space. Just to be sure, yesterday I moved even the TEMP and TMP dir of windows under the same partition.
Hope this can help to bypass this problem, I'll test it later in the day
