    Issue fixed in mediaportal-svn-01-23-2009--22-00!

    :D

    Hi Devs, Hi Community!

With activated Daemon Tools in MP, i have a strange issue with playback of all my lossless compressed Audio-Images. If i press "play" in MP first this DT error message appears:

After clicking "OK", playback works fine!
    Can you please help?

    Best regards
    Helios

A log with "Info" level only doesn't give too much. :)
    need to try myself.

are those flac, wv ape files on a mounted image or is DT just enabled and you play them from a share or out of a DB view?

    Hi hwahrmann!

Sorry for the wrong logs, but this are the logs MP created with Logs-Collector (attached) or in Debug-Mode (attached in the first posting)!

My Music is stored on HD, each Album has its own folder, Cuesheet and file (.wv, .ape, .flac) are in the same folder! I only use the "share view", not Database!

    Here my Settings for DT!

    My Settings in MP:

still no Debug info in log file. You need to set "Log Verbosity" to Debug in Configuration -> General.

So how does the folder look like, where you start your wv file from?
Does it contain files, which are recognised by DT?

i've tried with a flac and a wv file here and it worked ok.
Must be the combination of the folder content

P.S. Something seems to be wrong with the Logs. After closing MP, there are empty, only the "Info"-Level is there! I attach a MediaPortal.log! The error occures with Playback of "Vladimir Horowitz (1999) - Beethoven - Sonata in F Minor, Op. 57. Appassionata; Sonata in D, Op. 10, No. 3 (HQ)" DT tries to mount the Cuesheet "01 - Sonata in F Minor, Op. 57. Appassionata; Sonata in D, Op. 10, No. 3.ape.cue"!, but why, look at my settings in the first posting .cue is unticked"

I've ripped a CD to a Flac and a Cue.
DT only opens, when i click the CUE file.
Clicking the FLAC file start playback, without any issue.

Which version of DT are you using?

Please confirm that you do the following steps:
    1. Navigate to the Shares Folder
    2. Click on the .ape file and NOT the cue file

Ok, by selecting directly the .flac- File it works, but pressing "Play" on the Coverart it doesn't! Since i have enabled DT 4.30.1 - 4.30.3, Cuesheets will be shown in the share! When i disabe DT, cuesheets will not be shown! I think, thats part of the problem!

    Well that explains it.

pressing "Play" on the folder level, adds all supported files to the playlist.
.cue is a valid image format (it could contain also dat files), so this is wh we call daemon tools, if enabled, to mount the image.
unfortunately, Daemon Tools can only handle cue/bin files and not cue/wave files.

if i would remove cue files from the list of supported image formats, this might cause troubles to other users.

so the only way is for you to disable DT, if you want to continue this way

I will make the list of extensions supported by daemon tools a configureable option, so that you can remove the cue extension.
    this should solve your problem.

Fixed for 1.01. Configuration dialog allows specification of extensions, which should be handled by DT. .cue can be removed and then the error does no longer occur.
