Ah, noticed now the Case Sensitivity issue myself.
Too bad when testing with Clean tags

In my "productive" HTPC i found now several cases.
this needs to be fixed definitely for the final version

I see now I get it m I always thought context rescan and config rescan where the same

But do there two have to be two different ways in updating the database, and how to I tell the wife there is a difference, if I just explained the beauty of a database she barely understands

this was always the case, even before i came to MP.
Not too much to do about it, without breaking stuff.

In case of the context rescan, the same code is used as if you press play on the folder and the music doesn't exist in the db. then it'll be added as well.
I agree it needs refactoring, but if we do it, then only after the 0.2.3.0 release

Ok understood the difference between the two different updating techniques.

Now, after auto updating my shares my database looks empty again
ill post the whole database and logs in a few hours

Are you using this database with the latest SVN?
if so, then it is obvious why it isn't working.

the layout of the database has changed on 21.10.
The scan was definitely done with a version older than that.

The database is not empty, we're just finding no rows.
i'm sorry, but you need to run a rescan again and then it'll work.
