I'm glad to update you about Pc professionale magazine review for current month.
The magazine has reviewed seven media center commercial even for free. Media Portal wins with the score of 8.5 tied with Sage TV (a commercial product).

this is the overall score:

Media Portal (RC2) - for free. - 8,5
Sage - commercial - 8.5
Boxee - fro free - 8.0
Microsoft Media Center - 8.0
Xbmc - for free - 8.0
Cyberlink Power cinema - commercial - 7.0
Moovida - for free - 7.0

RC2 vs RC6 is quite big step when it comes to stability etc

Quite supprised that MP is high than XMBC. And they tested RC2... well as tourettes says there's quite some changes between them.

The review included initially other three sw: Sesam TV, Gb-Pvr and Got All Media but they are rejected because not able to work properly on Windows 7.
the detail of score of MP and Xbmc was:
