When I run mediaportal it runs great apart from one annoying feature, I get a chirp, chime of jingle of 4 or 5 notes accross my speakers every 15 minutes or so. It makes no difference if I am using it or just running in the background.

I have reinstalled all the audio codecs and downloaded the most recent drivers but still have the problem.

any ideas anyone,

thanks

nic

Are you using demo codecs of any kind? Sounds like something the codec producers would do to let you try a codec, then register (and pay) to remove the jingle. Not sure though, but that's all I can think of.

I had a simliar problem. I configured the Email-Plugin to check my emails every 5 minutes. The plugin obviously confirms this by playing \Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin\BlueTwo\Sounds\notify.wav, depending on the settings in the plugin. It took me quite some time to find it out.
