1. No
2. No

After the Server came back from standby to record It happened again. I tried watching live tv on the client and it just froze. I had to kill MP through the windows task manager. I then tried to watch live tv on the server just to make sure it wasn't a network issue but the same thing happened.

The weird thing is I that if I launch MediaPortal and go straight to Recorded TV (on both client and server) I can play back any recording just fine.

Edit:
When you installed MP, did you install your own database, use an existing one, or let MP install one for you?
I made sure I uninstalled everything. I then let MediaPortal's installer do it's thing.

    Hello again gonzo90017

These log files seem quite different.
In this case I'm tracking the error back to one of your tuners.
You tried to tune NBC at 15:06:

Nothing happens after the last line.
Basically what that means is that TV Server told the tuner to tune to NBC but the tuner never responded... and TV Server kept waiting but never got a response.

Same thing happened for each tune with tuner 3 after that. TV Server instructs the tuner to tune, but it doesn't respond.

So either there are issues with that tuner, or the tuner doesn't like what TV Server is telling it to do, or it doesn't like how TV Server is telling it to do it. Tuners can be really picky about the strangest things.

    Hope that makes sense.

I note that tuner 6 is able to tune NBC fine, so I'm not convinced that the issue is with the tune command - I really do think it is with the hardware or driver.

I have to be honest: at this point I don't have a whole lot of suggestions for you.
It is really hard to track down such issues, especially without direct access to the hardware.

You could try disabling that particular tuner (or even both tuners on that card) and see if it is only that card that is a problem.

    Regards,
    mm

Well I decided to start from scratch. I reinstalled the Server's os. This time I went with Windows 7 instead of XP.

The one bright spot was that I was able to get rid of the stuttering. The problem was that since I have no floppy drive, during XP's installation I was forced to run the SATA drives in IDE mode in order for it to recognize all of my drives. So this time I enabled AHCI in the bios before installing Windows 7 and that solved the stuttering I was having.

Now both client and server are running Windows 7 but i'm still having occasional crashes. The latest one happened when I was watching live tv on the client.
