    Hi Django

No the current version probably won't work with 1.2.2. Update attached. You'll need to patch both TVLibrary.dll and TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll. Also copy the interfaces DLL to the MediaPortal install folder.

PS: seems like Jean has moved on but I have PM'd just in case. Any chance of getting that Twin back for testing. I still have no idea whether the change I made now makes the CI work.

    Hi Guys,

    I think i'm back.
So tell me what to do exactly and i'll get it done.

November and december were difficult due family conditions.
    But life goes on.

    Hello Jean

chr0non has been able to confirm that DiSEqC works so really the last outstanding issue is the CI slot. I think it is best to do one test at a time otherwise we might end up wasting your time and I don't want to do that. For that reason, I only have two tests that I would like you to perform:
    1. Attempt to view a scrambled channel.
    2. Attempt to enter the CAM menu.

The latest patch for MP 1.2.2 is above:
    1. Stop the TV service and close TV Server configuration and MP configuration.
    2. Upgrade to MP 1.2.2 if you haven't already done that.
    3. Take a backup of the TVLibrary.dll and TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll in your TV Server install folder.
    4. Download and extract the patch into your TV Server install folder.
    5. Copy the TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll into your MP install folder.
    6. Take a backup of the KNCBDACTRL.dll in your TV Server install folder.
    7. Download and extract the KNCBDACTRL.dll from -->here<-- into your TV Server install folder.
    8. Perform the tests.

About the tests: make sure you have enabled the CAM for the tuner in the tuner settings in TV Server configuration. The CAM menu can be accessed from TV Server configuration as a tab in the same place where you scan for channels or from MP through the context menu (in full screen TV, right click -> open CI menu).

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

    Hopefully you are a

    Dear MM,

I did the tests as you asked.
Yesterday nothing worked only the cam menu seemed to work. I could NOT view scrambled channels.
I had some blue screens and the message "no card free" appeared a few times.
Today it's possible to view scrambled channels. I works great.
Only the HD channels are stuttering very much and the program guide doesnt work.
I have attached some logs for you to see whats happening.
Im sure the HD needs some work.
Hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi again Jean

I did the tests as you asked.
*Thank you so much for testing.*
    :D:D:D

Yesterday nothing worked only the cam menu seemed to work. I could NOT view scrambled channels.
I have only had a very quick look at the logs because I have to get to work now but I think the CAM was not ready to descramble - it takes some time (sometimes 1 minute or more) for the tuner driver to prepare the CAM.

I had some blue screens and the message "no card free" appeared a few times.
I will check the logs for this.

Today it's possible to view scrambled channels. I works great.

I will report what I find as soon as possible.

Best regards and thanks once again,
    mm

Hi mm, hope you are going well.
Now that the release of 1.2.3 is near, did you integrate these patches into the 1.2.3 release? I checked the mantis but I did'nt found anything about descrambling and diseqc for KNC.
If not, could you maybe provide some updates when 1.2.3 is out?

    Best regards
    Django

Hallo, I have just found this thread and it would be very nice if you could help me too.
I have two KNC one S2 (one is a sateco=thesame) but i have the same problem: no cam and no scrambled channnels are working.
It is Sky Germany and ORF. I didn´t try Swiss TV because my LNB for the Hotbird is out of order.
TV is working fine only the time that it takes to change the channel is little long.
Please tell me, which files / dll I should take and what to do.

Thank you for your help and please excuse my poor english.:(

    Hi schwarzrz,
which version of Mepo have you installed? If it is the 1.2.2 than you can use the tvlibrary.dll from post #91. You need also the kncbdactrl.dll from post #62. Then you copy this in your tvserver directory. Thats all.

    Hi Django.edwards.,
I have just upgraded to 1.2.3 for testing if the cams work. (As you assumed on your post of 12.04.2012.)
    Will it work with 1.2.3?

    Hi schwarzrz,
no these dll's are for 1.2.1 respectively 1.2.2 with the updated ones. Did you try the 1.2.3 with your cam? An does it work? If not, please make a backup and try to install the 1.2.1 version with the dll's from this thread. This should work.
We have to wait for a statement from mm1352000 if he integrated these patches in the 1.2.3. What is the exact model of your tv card?
