Hi Guys,

Been away from the scene for a while and I'm looking into building another Media Center and coming back to Mediaportal. I've had a look around at what I can do these days and I'm rather impressed so here we go again.

In my last system I had 1 x WINTV Nova HD2 S card hooked up to my satellite and whilst I know this card will work, its a little on the expensive side these days and I would now be requiring 2 cards in my new system to be able to record 1 channel whilst watching another or watch 2 channels whilst watching something earlier recorded or a film.

My question is relating to the TV cards. Has anyone had any experience with the KWORLD DVB-S 100SE card? Is it even supported? http://www.scan.co.uk/products/kworld-dvb-s-100se-pci-satellite-free-to-air-remote-s-video

If not, could anyone running 2 cards suggest any suitable alternatives that work with Mediaportal and will allow me to do what I am wanting to do??

Many Thanks in advance

Steven

    Hi, and welcome back! :)

My question is relating to the TV cards. Has anyone had any experience with the KWORLD DVB-S 100SE card? Is it even supported? Scan.co.uk: KW-DVB-S 100SE - KWORLD DVB-S 100SE PCI Satellite Free-to-Air, Remote, S-Video

Generally speaking, all DVB tuners with BDA drivers are supported, although some features like DiSEqC and CI/CAM support may not work since each tuner manufacturer implements these features differently. As such the Kworld tuner that you're looking at getting should work fine. If you go ahead and buy it but have trouble then I'll be happy to help you troubleshoot...
