Hi,

I had one of these cards and it worked perfectly for me in MP. Stupid question but have you run MP configuration and added the card? This card is natively supported by MP so you should be ok. Also, there is a driver update available from windows update which puts a WHQL signed driver onto your system.

Post back if you still have probs.

hi again i have checked for an up-dated driver from microsoft for this card and the driver is upto date, however when i set up mediaportal i try to add the card and it say's "no capture card detected i cant add a card". i have tried other mc programs as a test i.e intervideo and cyberlink trial downloads and these dont detect my card as well. dont know for sure whats going on but it works fine with the hypermedia software, i have tried moveing the card to a free pci slot and just loading the driver but not the sofware, again the card is not detected, could this be a problem with it being a software based mpeg as opposed to hardware card?

again thanx for any help

hmm, that sounds really strange. What version of MP are you using? I had mine working with all the Version 2 release candidates and Version 0.2.0.4. If other softwares are not detecting the card then that suggests that the problem is not MP specific. Have you definitely installed the BDA drivers? The BDA drivers (Broadcast Driver Architecture) allow any compatible application to use a TV card.

Try completely uninstalling the card and reinstalling using the latest kworld drivers which can be found here:

ftp://ftp.kworld.com.tw/kworld/driver/hypermedia_dvbt220_pci_d+a/v1.3.3.1_060301.zip

Cheers for now.

ok this is gonna throw another spanner in the works! haha done what you said and found that the driver was the same as the one already installed 1.3.3.1 re-started pc and still no tv card detected, then i downloaded cyberlink power cinema (free trial) and it works in power cinema and in hypermedia???????? mad eh? it looks like im missing something in mediaportal on the setup, dont know what though. ive got the latest version of mediaportal but on setup as soon as it gets to the tv setup part no tv card detected, is there a codec im missing? i left all the settings on setup at default, so im assuming the native codecs in mediaportal are compatable with kworld cards (ive checked and this card is supported) any ideas? in advance thanx for your time.
