It's been a while since I played with Media Portal, lost my HTPC and equipemnt in the divorce...

However, I'm getting back and had a question...

I have a Dell M Series Precision Laptop that just isn't getting much use...powerful enough by far, great vid card, and I'm wondering why I just don't install Media Portal on it and a wireless HDMI Connector to run my movies...

I don't do any broadcast, everything I have is streaming or file... I figure it can sit there and be utilized, uch like a wireless keybaord (just heavier) and still remain pretty d*$# quiet

    Thoughts?

  • About The Project

The vision of the MediaPortal project is to create a free open source media centre application, which supports all advanced media centre functions, and is accessible to all Windows users.

In reaching this goal we are working every day to make sure our software is one of the best.

  • Support MediaPortal!

The team works very hard to make sure the community is running the best HTPC-software. We give away MediaPortal for free but hosting and software is not for us.

Care to support our work with a few bucks? We'd really appreciate it!
