Large fonts (1 Viewer)

In RC1 everything seemed fine, but now that I've upgraded to RC2 and the latest Xface version, fonts all over the place are incredibly large and obviously don't fit onto their widgets anymore. I've set my font size in display settings to 200%, because otherwise I can see a darn thing on my 1080p TV. But MediaPortal should be independent of such settings.

OS is Windows XP SP3.

This will be fixed in 1.0 final, I assume, but for now how can I work around this problem?

Like I said, it worked fairly well on RC1 (and I shouldn't downgrade).

So do you have a solution/workaround or not?

Problem persists in RC3. Why wasn't it fixed? I'm certainly not the only one who sits at his TV from 3 meters distance, and therefor has to pump up the font dpi. Please just fix it, it looks very unprofessional as it is now.

Now, as the linked post states, this will (most probably) never get fixed in MPI. (There are several issues that never will be optimal in MPI - which is taken into consideration when creating MPII).

I'm sorry to say that you must lower your DPI to solve your issue.

I will if I don't get a jackass reply to a normal problem report. I think my topicstart was very gentle.

That is truly a shame. But still I don't understand. It's very easy to detect screen DPI, and it's very easy to compensate font size for it. This is what it needs to calculate: [displayed size] = [specified size] / [screen dpi] * 96.

I always consider the maker of software to be lucky when they get a problem reported at all. After all, I take MY time to put some effort in helping to make YoUR software better.

Have to agree there, you come here ask a question in the wrong place get an answer
then smart off to a super mod, then your given the same answer again and smart off
to another super mod, then then you have the nerve to say you help them develop
this software....I dont think anyone here cares for your attitude and I doubt you will
get help with the program you got for FREE after those remarks.

I'm just trying to report a bug. If that's not appreciated, then so be it.
