Hi,

now I back to 15599 and everything is fine again. I experienced this odd behaviour with 15687 and 15680. I could run last.fm from the browser but not from within MP.

Don't know what happens here.

As I wrote - I always do complete installs with reboot and manual configuration. I don't copy XML files or databases. Perhaps I see many problems because I do it that way.

Many thanks to you all. Really good work.
Harald

Your browser might have worked because last.fm can quickly update the destination servers to some fallback ones. MediaPortal however has to rely on the servers which are given by the handshake...

    Should work again now..

Yup, works like a champ now. Thanks a million.

Is this something that you need to do periodically or does this involve some sort of code or parameter change between my end and last.fm?

Nevermind - I followed your link (I should have known you put it there for a reason  ) and see that this was at their end (got into the habit of expecting the problems to be at the MP end and I should know better).

Well it was solely on their side but I've added a workaround now - if only the first handshake (which allows submitting songs) fails it nevertheless tries to login for radio which it hadn't before (assuming last.fm is completely down).

Since not submitted songs are cached nothing would be lost and at least some radio can be heard.
