Latest Version (v4.7.0.c) problem with Sort by Translated Title (1 Viewer)

WOOPS - can't edit the title but I am using latest: 4.8.0.c!

Hello,

I have been trying to get Sort by TranslatedTitle to work but here is my issue:

I am trying to have all my sequels in order. I've had MyFilms set up in the past so that movie sequels would be in order regardless of the Original Title name - for instance, my Translated Titles would be listed as:
Terminator 1
Terminator 2
Terminator 3
Terminator 4

Here is how my config is set to

Ant Master Title = Original Title
Ant Secondary Title = (none)
Ant Sort Title = Translated Title

The problem is all movies w/o a translated title (in ANT) get placed on top and then at the bottom of my list of movies are the ones with Translated titles.


Can anyone confirm they have this sort feature working as intended in 4.8.0.c?

If so - can you please let me know what I am doing wrong?

I think thats the normal behaviour of the plugin. You would have to fill all the translated title fields.
Have you think about creating hyearchy gruoups? I use them for films with sequels

He states this should be the working behavior.

Is there a good thread somewhere on how to make groups?

Hmmm, is really easy. In the myfilms config you have to define a character as separator of the hyearchy jerarchy. In my case: /
Then you define a title as sort field. In my case: translated title.
Then you have to set the groups inside the translated title field. Example:
Terminator/ Terminator IV: rise of the machines
Terminator/ Terminator III
...

Saw / Saw IV
Saw / Saw III
etc
Then you will have the groups in MediaPortal. You will see "terminator" in the list of movies and, if you select it, you will go inside the group, and you will only see the four films
