I can verfiy the behavior not refreshing for all handler except TV Recordings if System is running continuously.
Refresh is only done on Mediaportal restart.
Can someone double check.

hi,
for me, music also don't refresh at restart. movies and series do this.
i think i have two problems.
1) music database is not refreshing after adding a album.
2) when i refresh it manually, lmh is not working.

1440 Minutes til refresh is very long. I've set to 30 minutes. It is the shortes available
If People want to i can allow 15,10,5,2,1 minutes. But until now i have no idea about cpu consumption on refresh.

There's also a minimum load should be the minimum SQL query that will return 3 records for each database. This can be done at least every minute. FH does a lot more requests and everything is fine.

Here are my results so far.
Enabling Update Databases for Musik & Pictures and setting the refresch interval to 5 minutes will result in a success but:
This will enforce a full harddisk scan. This process takes 2:30 minutes on my machine (15000 Songs) , which is very fast.
Does anybody know how often Mediaportal itself will refresh the Databases?
Or does MP itself do the refresh only on Selecting Musik or Pictures Module itself?

For images not sure, but for Music updates as soon as new music files appear in the folder with the music.

No. I changed the behavior of the checkmarks in settings pane.
In the previous Version refresh was only enabled for pictures & music, if you checked Update DB checkmarks.
Now refresh is allways enabled and the ckeckmark does what it is supposed to do, to update the database only.
Maybe this is a better way, but this only works, if the database contains the new pictures & music files. I hope MP itself updates the databases.
You can choose intervals smaller than 30 Minutes now, but be WARNED:
Below 5 minutes and having Update DB enabled, you have a good chance of locking down your System.

I assume you didn't start a new 'thread' for this action? Threading should always be done to prevent UI freezes and lockups.

it is threaded, but your are going to generate massive harddisk and database activity.
Because of that, i assume that curler set the Minimum Limit to 30 minutes. You are safe, if you Disable Update Database.
It is an experimental Version. I think that i will limit to 5 minutes in future. Or i kick out the Database Update Option.
My test were successful without DB Update enabled.
