Have been having this problem for a while but a recent complete system rebuild didn't fix it (fresh install of Windows 8.1, Mediaportal 1.10)

While watching live TV or something recorded if I launch Google Chrome I get a little audio/video loop.

Most noticeable with all plugins active, have attached logs using first two options in WatchDog

    Hello

I think the artifacts that you're talking about may correspond with the "Scheduling sample from the past" entries in the EVR log.

Does launching Chrome cause any HDDs to spin up/down and/or a significant burst of HDD, CPU or GPU load?

    Regards,

    Just looked at that.

Caused a jump in CPU & Drive C usage (up to about 80%)

Power plan was based on Power Save mode so have just been through and changed some settings (CPU power, USB suspend).

A quick check seems to be better, will check again tomorrow when the system isn't busy recording as well (so I can try from a restart).

    Just tried from a restart.

System seems better. Maybe I should have set my power configuration on the 'Balanced' or 'High performance' plans.
