"Learn timed out" (1 Viewer)

I have an MCE remote receiver and drivers seem to be installed correctly. Have installed latest version of IRSS and when I go to IR Commands in translator -> New then attempt to learn the 0-9 digits from a Hauppauge remote nothing happens and I get a 'Learn timed out' error.

Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

Does the IR receiver flash when you are pressing a button?

Try if its working when you hold the remote very close to the IR receiver... 2-3cm maximum.

All fixed. All I needed to do was hold the button press a little longer.... everywhere I'd read was to do the opposite!

Glad you fixed it! I had the same problem, but it was with the distance from the receiver.
