another point - why does installer say anything about SQL 2005 and not about 2008?
Comment in the code is "//MSSQL2005 is not supported on Windows 7 and later".
So Atomic7431 has W7+ ... and I think the deploy tool is detecting that MS SQL Server 2005 is installed.
@Atomic7431 can you confirm what version(s) of SQL Server you have installed?

    Thanks again (y)
Maybe I misinterpreted the code. Maybe the deploy tool is only capable of installing SQL Server 2005, and the message is saying that it can't install SQL Server 2005 because that version is not compatible with W7+.

I don't have any clue why the deploy tool wouldn't be able to to install SQL Server 2008.

    Thanks for reporting.

I've had a quick look at the code.
    Original link is:
    https://www.team-mediaportal.com/manual/TV-Server/install-SQL-Server-2008

I think the equivalent link is:
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/index.php?title=TV-Server/install-SQL-Server-2008&redirect=no

    ...which is now...
    http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...mization/TV-Server/SQL_Server/SQL_Server_2008

@Dadeo @high are you able to make this redirect... or should I just go ahead and fix the link?
I can redirect the link. However, I do not see anything on the SQL Server 2008 wiki page that helps you 'learn why' 2005 is disabled. So please confirm what info should actually be provided.

BTW that's a VERY old link - has been wrong for at least 3 years LOL. Kudos to you for catching that Atomic7431 !
